Automobile demand meet the cliffs of the Grand Canyon

In a not so surprising turn of events most of the major automakers are showing embarassing figures.

Ford October sales down 30.2% to 132,838 units.

Toyota October sales down 26%.

GM October sales down 45%.

Honda October sales down 25%.

Nissan October sales down 33%.

I guess if you have the means and want to purchase a car, it might be a decent time to get a decent deal. The dealership would definitely be happy to see you and the sales guy would be dreaming of any type of commission at all rather than maximising their profit at the expense of the sale.
