Haverty Furniture has announced a suspension of their dividend to conserve cash.
This should come as no surprise to the readers, since they are involved in furniture and big ticket items. We all just saw what happened to LA-Z-Boy and should be prepared to see this happening all around. Either dividend cuts, layoffs, or store closings will be the norm in this business for the foreseeable future.
For those furniture makers who are overseas, you will see reduced oceanic traffic as there are no goods created to be shipped to be stored in warehouses to be passed along to these showrooms to be non-consumed by the hung over clownsumer.
