Your Dividend Shipwrecked: Diana Shipping Suspends Dividend

Diana Shipping has done a curious move. They have suspended their dividend and instead, in my opinion are mismanaging their money yet a different way by repurchasing their shares. Maybe they failed to see the chain of events underway that creates less demand for their services.

He explains levering up at the trough of the market, I agree with that much, but hopefully he is not figuring the trough of the market is soon. It is wise to hold onto cash, so why suspend the dividend and then do share buybacks which removes cash?

Shareholders here will have less income coming in.
