Where's Atlantis?? Oh Yeah That's Right, Underwater!

Atlantis resort in the Bahamas has come into the game by drowning out the paychecks of 800 employees in a layoff. These guys mismanaged their good times and send their employees on bad times as they have created a lot of supply for dwindling demand. They built a $1 billion extension that just completed last year, rather than preparing to hoard cash for the biggest credit bubble bust that has been seen in many lifetimes.

Resort areas have come under fire of course. This is the working man's resort, so it will be under increased pressure as people simply do not have a budget to fly an airplane over some ocean to get to an island and then pay out exhorbitant rates on their cocktails and overnight accomodations. Until the cycle of layoffs, credit destruction, tightened spending, and such comes to an end you can expect to see events like this at your favorite resort.
