GM continuing to shed jobs as it looks to cut costs and remain solvent by not having to pay for 1,900 additional factory staff. While the job cuts make sense, the real way they will achieve solvency is by getting money misappropriated from you and I in the form of an executive order, a Treasury or Fed official reconsideration, or a congressional bill.
This is another blow to the middle of the USA. Many layoffs in this industry are happening there and will continue to happen. These are not going to be bountiful times in the shopping plazas.
